Stafford-McCarty Commercial Real Estate was created in 1992 when Greg Stafford teamed-up with another real estate broker, Steve McCarty and opened an office in San Luis Obispo, California. Stafford-McCarty has over 42 years of real estate experience here on the Central Coast.

Greg Stafford
Greg Stafford started his career in real estate sales and leasing with Lundberg & Co. of San Luis Obispo, California in 1986. While at Lundberg & Co., Greg worked with buyers and sellers, and landlords and tenants in all types of commercial real estate, i.e. office, retail, industrial, and development. After graduating from the California College of Podiatric Medicine in 1967, Greg entered the U.S. Army and ultimately served as a helicopter pilot in Vietnam in 1969. Upon separation from the Army, Greg moved to San Luis Obispo to practice podiatry and ultimately sold his practice in 1985.

Steve McCarty

Prior to the formation of Stafford-McCarty Commercial Real Estate, Steve McCarty started his career in real estate sales and leasing with TOLD Real Estate Corporation in 1988, and operated out of Santa Maria, California. While at TOLD and working all aspects of commercial real estate, Steve established a reputation in the industrial and office fields. After graduating from the University of California at Santa Barbara with Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in 1981, he worked major accounts within the computer hardware and software industry prior to his real estate career.

Steve Davis

Steve has been working for the past three years in a consulting role with Stafford McCarty performing web site, marketing and database tasks. Steve’s past careers have involved management positions in the hospitality business (directing alumni camp and conference centers for both Stanford University and University of the Pacific), being the President of the Plumas County Economic Development Corporation, and overseeing all technical needs and PR functions for the College of Liberal Arts at Cal Poly. After graduating from Stanford in 1981 with Bachelors Degree in Industrial Engineering, Steve worked as a management consultant for Arthur Young and Company before moving to Sacramento to open a marketing and graphic design business, Dore Davis Design.
